Kechene Children & Youth Rehabilitation Center was started in 1944 E.C with the permission of His Majesty Atege Menen to save children who lost their parents by providing services to 4 children. Until now, it is being supported by the government budget and is making a significant contribution to the children who have lost their parents, to grow up with a balanced personality and social relationship.
So far, the institution has been able to provide services to more than 10,000 female children citizens who have lost their parents due to various reasons. At present, it is providing comprehensive and integrated permanent services to 131 teenagers for their growth, health and development.
